Founded in 1929 by brothers Michael and Jay Chernow, Monet initially provided personalised monograms for handbags before moving into the world of jewellery.

In recent times Monet has been overlooked simply as a reproducer of classic designs by high fashion houses, but this is not the case. Monet has been innovative since its inception, pioneering the industry in many different ways.

Whilst Monet introduced classic costume jewellery tropes such as natural motifs and the generous of rhinestones long before Dior’s ‘new look’, they are perhaps more well remembered today for their timeless understated pieces, quality metalwork and original design.
